Accomplishments
In May 2007, after only one month of construction, the Duk Lost Boys Clinic received its first patients. With oversight from the John Dau Foundation, the Clinic continues to be maintained through private donations and major grant initiatives.

- More than 33,000 patients have received lifesaving medical care the clinic since it opened in May 2007.
- The clinic is currently seeing between 75-150 patients per day with a record of 204 in one day. Some walk more than 30 miles to the Clinic in order to receive health services.
- Over 1,000 expectant mothers have visited the Clinic to receive pre-natal care. In a country where the maternal and child mortality rates are the highest in the world, this care has saved countless lives.
- More than 100 Sudanese have been trained by Clinic staff, including traditional birth attendants, community health workers, and the Duk County Drama Club
- 18 international doctors have visited and worked at the Clinic from one to four weeks at a time.
