This month, a new blood bank opened at the Duk Lost Boys Clinic, bringing a much needed and vital capability to the region. Earlier this month, the first life-saving blood transfusion ever to occur in Duk County happened, saving the life of a 23 year old mother who was having difficulty recovering from her recent pregnancy.
